UA, WVSU ink partnership

Committing to fostering academic cooperation, research advancements, and cultural exchange, University of Antique (UA) entered into a five-year partnership with West Visayas State University (WVSU) through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) via Zoom, October 24.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, considers this MOU signing as a milestone, as the University always looks up to WVSU as its big brother Higher Education Institution in Western Visayas.

“Together let’s explore our potential, what we have in both our universities, and what we could offer with our partners… together we can use this platform to offer many connections and engagement with our international partners,” Dr. Crespo further stated.

Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz, WVSU President, also stated that through this partnership, HEIs in Western Visayas have again shown what it means to be united in goals and endeavors.

“With University of Antique, West Visayas State University believes that we can reach greater heights in various forms of engagements,” Dr. Villaruz added upon stating his commitment to support the partnership and seal the deal to become more proactive in programs that may involve HEIs in the region.

Prof. Jennelyn A. Omadio, Director of UA’s International Affairs Office and Prof. Edel Carmela S. Subong-Csoka, Director, International and Local Linkages Office of WVSU served as witnesses during the signing which was also participated by the different administrators from the two universities./IU
