UA Main holds Commencement Exercises for Batch 2
One thousand two hundred seventy five (1,275) graduates from College of Teacher Education, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Engineering and Architecture, and College of Technology received their diploma today as the University holds its 71st Commencement Exercises for Batch 2 at Traditional Knowledge Center, July 10.
Hon. Cynthia A. Villar, Senator of Republic of the Philippines, on her Commencement Address, admired the unwavering spirit and resilience of the University in navigating through the new normal.
“Just like bamboos, invest in nurturing your inner selves, cultivating resilience, and never feeling the occasional bend,” Sen. Villar, addressing the graduates.
April Rose Moscoso, from College of Teacher Education, was conferred with Manny Villar Award of Excellence which is given to the top graduate of every batch.
Hon. Antonio B. Legarda Jr., Representative of the Lone District of Antique, delivered an inspirational message urging the graduates to make a difference through doing things that can uplift others.
“I cannot change the world, but I can change a world of an Antiqueño,” he stated.
Present in the said event were Hon. Edgar D. Denosta, Vice-Governor of the Province of Antique, Mayor Jose Jeffrey Y. Lomugdang of the Municipality of Culasi, Mayor Gian Carlo F. Occeña of Municipality of Sibalom, Mr. Rexon Nodque, Alumni President, University Board of Regents, University Top Management, Faculty and Staff, and the parents and guardians of the graduating class./IAP
