UA LHS-Main Celebrates 2023 Commencement Exercises

Celebrating a milestone of continuing growth and excellence, University of Antique- Laboratory High School holds 2023 Commencement Exercises at UA Traditional Knowledge Center, July 7.

Eighty four (84) graduates from Senior High School and 69 Junior High School completers received their diploma with their parents today.

Atty. John Paul G. Cabios, Associate RYL at Law Partners & Associates, Class Valedictorian, UA-LHS Batch 2011 and this year’s Commencement Speaker, highlighted the five failing lessons that dozens of failures taught him.

“Failure is more like a semicolon, it’s longer than a comma, a shorter pause, but never a full stop. Like a semicolon, you can have a pause, break, or even take a rest… but failure cannot stop us,” Atty. Cabios stated.

Hon. Antonio B. Legarda Jr., Representative, Lone District of Antique sparked a fire of inspiration to the graduates and to the honorees from different year levels of LHS who were confereed with recognition.

According to Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President, the presence of the Laboratory High School in a Higher Education Institution (HEI) like UA is a venue where College of Teacher Education (CTE) can practice and assess the pedagogical methodologies, assessment, and innovations. It is also one of the schools that produce best high school graduates in the province as it offers specialized tracks to its students.

Among the people present during the event were the University Top Management, Dr. Runato A. Basañes, Dean of CTE, and the Laboratory High School Faculty and Staff./IAP
