UA launch f2f hUgyAw
Two years after the Covid-19 outbreak, University of Antique commenced face-to-face hUgyAw, with the theme, “A Strong, Tall, and Resilient UA,” on November, 7.
The event kicked off with a parade joined by faculty, staff, student organizations, coaches, and athletes from the eight colleges of UA Main.
Each colleges’ bets will aim for gold on Sports (basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, football, futsal, sepak takraw, baseball, badminton, table tennis, chess, taekwondo, arnis, and karatedo) and Cultural Contests (hUgyAw dance, Cine kasUbAy, Acapella Contest, Acoustic, T-Shirt Painting, College Promotional Video, and UA Hymn Video). Twenty six candidates will also aspire for Mr. and Ms. UA 2022 crown on November, 10.
This year’s hUgyAw is made special with the addition of events such as Trail running, MTB Race (Biking), and Duathlon (Run – Bike – Run).
hUgyAw, coined in 2018, is a week-long festivity celebrated every second week of November to commemorate the conversion of University of Antique from Polytechnic State College of Antique (PSCA)./IAP
