Anchored on the celebration of World Bamboo Day 2023, University of Antique heeds to the call of protecting bamboo versatility and sustainability through bamboo planting at UA Nagbangi Site, San Remigio, Antique, September 18.

The activity which was done in coordination with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) aims to raise awareness and promote the use of bamboo while celebrating its numerous benefits.

Dr. Nelly E. Mistio, Vice-president for Administration and Finance, together with the Executive Committee, and UA Hamtic Campus Student Leaders and faculty participated in the bamboo planting activity.

Meanwhile on September 22, the UA Community will hold Himurat, featuring stories of Kasubay resilience where students from different colleges will be given a platform where they can speak about their struggles and share how they overcame them./IAP
