University of Antique inaugurates its Disaster Risk Reduction Management (DRRM) Office & Hub, July 31.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, and Mr. Michael Tolentino from the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) led the ribbon cutting together with the Vice-presidents and members of the executive committees.

The DRRM Office & Hub which is located at the second floor of the Paghiusa Hall, houses the Resiliency and Futures Thinking Unit (RFTU) which is in charge of the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance the academe’s resilience and preparedness, to respond swiftly and effectively to any challenges that may arise.

The new hub will also aide the University not only in ensuring a safer environment for its students and stakeholders, but also in optimizing disaster mitigation opportunities in order to help families from the vulnerable sectors of the community.
