UA-DU STEAM Camp Officially Opens

“Let this be an opportunity of humanity of people helping each other. The University of Antique is humbled by your coming,” Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., SUC President of UA.

Celebrating a breakthrough in the partnership between the two Universities, UA-DU looks back to the beginning of collaboration during the Opening and Welcome Dinner for delegates of Daegu University (DU Avengers) at Busalian Hall, August 9.

Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda, Senate of the Philippines, on her message of support sees the partnership as a way of strengthening ties between Philippines and South Korea through enriching educational system and fostering mutual learning.

“I see this as an important form of cultural diplomacy where both universities have the opportunity to gain valuable insights and a deeper understanding and appreciation of cultures,” Sen Legarda added.

Hon. “AA” Legarda Jr., Representative, Lone District of Antique also addressed the students as ambassadors of goodwill of their respective countries and shared his hope that the activity will broaden their horizon and foster cross-cultural awareness and appreciation.

Gracing the program were the Department of Education (DepEd) Partner Schools, UA Colleges and Units, UA Executive Committee, Faculty, Students, and some Officials of the partner barangays in this endeavor./IAP
