UA Culminates Women’s Month through PEP Talk and Juana Contests

To end the month-long International Women’s Month Celebration, University of Antique Gender and Development (GAD) Office in collaboration with Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) and University of Antique Student Government (UASG) hold a PEP Talk and Juana Contests at Paghiusa Hall, March 30.

Tackling the misconceptions and ignorance on sexual and reproductive health on the topic dubbed as “Popular Sexual Myths that People Still Get Wrong,” Dr. Eleonor Ferrer Jornada, served as keynote speaker during the PEP Talk that was participated by student leaders. The eight colleges of the main campus competed in Juana Contests where College of Arts and Sciences representatives nabbed the first place in both Spoken Poetry and jUAna Dance Challenge.

This year’s Women’s Month Celebration with a theme “WE for Gender Equality & Inclusive Society” is a way to look back to the significant contribution of women as a form of empowerment towards an inclusive society./IAP
