UA submits 21 programs for accreditation

UNIVERSITY OF ANTIQUE – A total of 21 programs across five campuses were submitted for an online accreditation survey visit on October 03-07. 

This is the greatest number of programs submitted for accreditation by the University after the COVID-19 pandemic.  

Sibalom campus submitted two programs BS in Community Development and BS in Tourism Management for Level II while ten programs namely BS in Office Administration, Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English, Mathematics, Biological Science, Social Studies and Filipino, Bachelor of Elementary Education, BS in Computer Science, BS in Electronics Engineering, BS in Business Administration major in Marketing, BS in Information Technology, BS in Civil Engineering, BS in Computer Engineering and BS Entrepreneurship were submitted for Level III- Phase Two.

Hamtic campus also submitted two programs for Level III-Phase Two, namely Bachelor of Secondary Education major in English and BS in Agriculture major in Crop Science and Animal Science.

Pre-Survey level programs were from Caluya campus namely BS in Entrepreneurship, Bachelor of Industrial Technology and BS in Hospitality management, Tibiao Campus with BS in Information System and Bachelor of Local Government Administration, lastly Libertad Campus with BS in Information Technology and BS in Hospitality Management.

“The University of Antique is beyond happy for this accreditation. It is a way for continual improvement.” the University President, Dr. Pablo S. Crespo, Jr., said pertaining to the challenge of this year’s accreditation.

“By looking into the strengths and weaknesses of the programs, we could push programs and reforms that will renown UA as becoming a reputable institution comparable to the best HEIs in the country.” Dr. Crespo encouraged. 

The Director for Quality Assurance and Accreditation, Dr. Dolorosa M. Pajarillo, expects the official result of 21 programs under survey by the first or second quarter of next year. /IAP
