UA begins exploratory talks with foreign partners

Taking another step to further its expansion beyond national borders, University of Antique holds separate exploratory talks with Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS), Surabaya, East Java, Indonesia as well as with a Korean Language Teacher through Zoom meetings.

At a meeting between representatives from ITS, Prof. Jennelyn Omadio, International Affairs Office Director, and Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice President for Academics, both parties identified Maritime and Artificial Intelligence Fields as strong areas of collaboration for lecturer mobility. The partnership would be beneficial as the program is ITS’ strong area and UA is the sole provider of free maritime education in the Region.

UA Tario Lim Memorial Campus (TLMC) also looks forward to the Korean Language Volunteer Program as Mr. Gim Moung Su, Korean Language Teacher and missionary of the Spella World Mission communicated his interest for face-to-face lecture for Hospitality Management students.

Prof. Omadio, stated that the endeavor would greatly help the University as “it would be a good opportunity especially for our graduates later on working in the Hotel Industry even in the Tourism Industry.”

Upon taking the first step for collaboration, the academe ensures opening more opportunities for every Kasubay as it welcomes partnerships either from local or international arena./IAP
