As part of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) International Continuing Professional Education (ICPE) Grants, Dr. Kremlin Mark B. Ampode, Dean, College of Agriculture, Forestry and Food Science, UA-Hamtic Campus joins the International Training on Cage-Free Innovation and Welfare Hub at Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, July 9 -15.

To further strengthen the internationalization effort of the University, Dr. Ampode together with the participants for the one week training course will be immersed in class and on the field for the practical session where they will cover the technical side or the on-farm knowledge of the commercial cage-free egg production system as well as the non-technical side such as developing a business model canvas, and learning the economic aspects of the cage-free farm from an experienced cage-free egg farm owner.

The activity is also anchored on the goal of upgrading the institutional capacities of State Universities and Colleges – Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines, Inc. (SUC-ACAP, Inc.) and its 75 members through Short-term Training Programs and Cross-visits, and Participation in University Consortium activities.

Dr. Ampode is the first to be granted with a funded mobility in the University./IAP
