Ms. Philippines Earth Candidates visit University of Antique Bamboo Processing Center and Brick Making, Pottery Facility as part of their Eco-Tourism Tour in the Province of Antique, April 22.

With this year’s theme “ME loves 2020TREE,” Miss Philippines Earth is a premier beauty pageant in the country that aims to promote environmental advocacy through raising awareness regarding environmental issues and how to mitigate them.

With Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President, overseeing the activities, the candidates were given the chance to make and design their own pots and take bamboo souvenirs from the University’s facility before they explore the other natural and cultural heritage of Antique.

The province is one of Miss Philippines Earth’s environmental partners through the effort of Senate President Pro Tempore Loren Legarda and in partnership with Congressman Antonio Legarda, Representative of the Province of Antique./IAP
