
University of Antique welcomed the Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (DRRMC) of Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology (ISUFST) Main Campus – Poblacion Site, who visited UA for a benchmarking activity today, March 26, 2025.
Led by Dr. Irvin M. Haro, DRRMC Chair of ISUFST, the team sought to enhance ISUFST’s disaster preparedness and response capabilities through learning from UA’s DRRM best practices, strategies, policies, and their successful implementation.
Dr. May T. Delgado, Vice-President for Administration and Finance personally welcomed the team before they had a tour around the academe’s facilities with Engr. Roy I. Vera Cruz, Director of Resiliency and Futures Thinking Unit (RFTU), and Mr. Jacinto P. Valera, Information Technology Officer, Information and Communications Technology Unit.
Together with Dr. Haro are Dr. Renante A. Diamante, Prof. Rex Maderazo, and Prof. Noel A. Banca. They also donated books, a great addition to the library collection of UA and a remarkable proof of the linkage between the two institutions.
