hUgyAw Dance Competition jump-starts hUgyAw 2022
Seven colleges danced their way aiming for victory during the hUgyAw Dance Competition in line with the celebration of hUgyAw 2022, November 7.
Mr. Romel Brillones Flogen, Ilonggo Commission for the Culture and Arts (ICCA) president, Mr. Joe Cyril Tunguia, National Philippine Folk Dance Society lifetime member and artistic dance consultant of Tumandok it Akean (TIA) Province of Aklan, and Mr. Paul Patrimonio, ICCA Board of Director and international representative came to choose the best performing college in the said competition.
hUgyAw Dance is one of the most awaited kick-start activities in lieu of the traditional Cheerdance Competition.
“Mas clarified kung ano ang bawal, ano ang indi that’s why easier man in terms of judging and okay kuno ang mga performances on their (judges) end as mga international nga performers”, (“It’s more clarified what can and can’t be done so it’s easier in terms of judging and the performances are said to be okay on their (judges) end as international performers”), Mrs. Shella S. Sandoy, Director of the Recreational, Social, and Cultural Services (RSCS) when asked about the difference between this year and the past dance competitions.
Moreover, the result of hUgyAw Dance Competition will be announced on Friday, November 11, via Zoom./IAP
