Today in UA History: Thirteen years ago, Pres. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo signed RA 9746, an act converting Polytechnic State College of Antique (PSCA) to University of Antique (UA), making it the only university in the province.
Today, we look back to UA’s humble beginning before it became a university. Headed by Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., the UA community sparked off the celebration with the flag raising ceremony followed by a zumba dance at the covered gym.
Dr. Crespo reminded the students of the importance of looking back to where they came from, “I hope that you people will always be reminded of your past, especially the people who helped you achieve what you have become. Your university, the University of Antique, is one of those people that were helping you”. /IAP
