In preparation for the 2025 midterm elections, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) conducted a Voter Education and Registration Fair for University of Antique (UA) students, faculty, and staff, at UA Paghiusa Hall, today, June 04.

Pamela S. Martinez, Information Officer II, COMELEC-EID equipped the participants with information regarding their right to vote and the responsibilities that come with it through a Voter Education Lecture. Atty. Dennis L. Ausan, Regional Election Director of COMELEC Region VI and Ma. Luisa A. Marfil, Election Officer III of the Municipality of Sibalom, also graced the said program.

COMELEC Registration Officers from the different municipalities of the Province of Antique were also present during the event to facilitate the simultaneous registration of the qualified participants as part of the satellite registration session.

The initiative is part of the Commission’s effort in tapping the youth and encouraging them to participate in the incoming election through taking the first step which is registration.
