The UA College of Engineering and Architecture (CEA) will conduct a qualifying examination for incoming second year students and pre-qualifying examination for incoming first years who wish to apply to the said college.

The programs offered by CEA are among the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) priority programs, which means students under the college will be chosen and qualified as University Scholars. Thus, CEA is strictly implementing an Admission and Retention Policy wherein one of the rules is for students to undergo examination that will assess their academic performance.
