CDA ties-up with UA
Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) through Usec. Joseph B. Encabo, Chairman of CDA, ties up with University of Antique, represented by Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., through a Memorandum of Agreement during the Western Visayas Cooperatives’ EduBIZ Forum held at UA Paghiusa Hall, June 22.
The agreement makes UA and CDA partners on improving the education and training of cooperatives in order to empower micro cooperatives and consolidate them into a bigger cooperative in the province.
Dr. Crespo, in his speech, referred to cooperatives as a channel of blessings as many people has been blessed through them.
“I along with the UA family is greatly humbled because of the great men and women of cooperatives from Region VI and across the country coming to the University to be part of the celebration,” Dr. Crespo stated.
Present along with Usec. Joseph B. Encabo during the signing of MOA were Asec. Myrla B. Paradillo, Asec. Abdulsalan A. Guinomla, Asec. Virgilio R. Lazaga, M.D., Asec. Pendatun B. Disimban. Hon. Rhodora J. Cadiao, Governor of the Province of Antique, and Hon. Edgar D. Denosta, DPA, Vice-Governor and Chairman of Committee on Agriculture, NGOs and Cooperatives in the province were also present at the said event.
The EduBIZ Forum enables participants from different cooperatives in Western Visayas and representatives of the varying local government units in Antique to convene at the Cooperative Capital of the region – Antique./IAP
