ALES Commences as part of ASEAN STARS Initiative

Introducing Antique, University of Antique, and Kinaray-a to South East Asia, Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice-president for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Charisse Joting-Quiman, Program Head of AB English Language Studies, serve as resource speakers during the first day of ASEAN Languages and Edutourism Summit (ALES) as part of ASEAN STARS initiative of Tarlac Agricultural University (TAU) together with nine other Higher Education Institutions in South East Asia, January 5.

UA’s Initiative in the Promotion of Kinaray-a Language and Kinaray-a: Living and Learning were amongst the topics discussed during the summit with more than 100 participants who are expected to learn about the featured South East Asian Languages, customs, geography, history, and profiles of collaborating Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) until January 7.

Among the most awaited activities of ASEAN STARS are ASEAN Dances, ASEAN Music, ASEAN Poetry, ASEAN Cuisine, ASEAN Digital Photography, and ASEAN Fashion./IAP
