
The University of Antique (UA) and British Council Philippines embarked on exploratory talks for potential collaboration. Led by UA President Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., university officials met with Mr. Mike Cabigon, British Council Business Development Manager, via Zoom on January 30, 2025.
Key topics discussed included the development of a proposal for the British Council to identify UK universities that could collaborate with UA on academic, research, and faculty exchange programs. Another highlight was the exploration of the Connections through Culture grant, opening exciting opportunities for cultural exchange.
Additionally, UA looks forward to the Aptis Pre-test and IELTS Trial Test that will be conducted by the British Council as the two institutions anticipate the potential of establishing an IELTS Testing Centre at UA.
Representing UA together with Dr. Crespo were Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Dr. Catherine C. Viesca, Dr. Ruzel E. Paller, Prof. Jennelyn Omadio, Mr. Risty Clent Aquito, and Prof. Nicasio A. Pimentel III.
