“Every step we take is a stride toward understanding, acceptance, and mental well-being, so let us keep moving forward together.” – Agnes Jill T. Turrecha, RCG, Rpm, Head of Guidance Unit

Concluding this year’s Mental Health Month celebration, University of Antique students and faculty took part in the Mental Health Walk: Embracing Inclusivity fostering Diversity spearheaded by the Guidance Unit, October 15, 2024.

Following a route from the Victor’s Arc and around the University Oval, the walk ended at the Tiripunan Hall where the participants affirmed their commitment to actively confront the stigma associated with mental health through a pledge and signing of mental health commitment.

Dr. Runato A. Basañes, Executive Director, Student Affairs and Services Division, stated that the activity symbolizes the academe’s step towards creating a more inclusive and compassionate society through embracing the diverse experiences and perspective of each individual.

The celebration may have ended yet the journey towards a healthy mental well-being continues.
