Representatives from the Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) graced University of Antique for a Forum on Migration and Anti-Human Trafficking that gathered members of the Executive Committee, student leaders, faculty members, and student representatives at the New Female Dormitory Audio-Visual Room, today, September 10, 2024.

Judy Oaing, Mia Bisa, and Lord Leomer Pomerada raised the participants’ awareness on migration issues, inter-marriage, and government policies against illegal recruitment, fraud, and human trafficking through a lecture and open forum.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, assured the CFO that UA is committed to aide in combatting human trafficking and related issues saying, “…today, University of Antique commits to help the government address these problems.”

The forum is part of CFO’s annual Community Education Program (CEP) on Migration that also aims to empower communities and assist prospective migrants in making informed decisions about settling abroad.
