𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧, 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚 – Embarking on another experience as part of their international training, Dr. Eden Patnongon and Capt. Luis Garfin III, together with Deck Cadets Kent Joseph Valenzuela and Alexandra Valencia from the College of Maritime Studies (CMS), take part in the Korean Maritime Week 2024 celebration held at the Paradise Hotel from September 9-12, 2024.

According to Capt. Garfin, the event focuses on the decarbonization, digitalization, and diversity in Maritime including the challenges and opportunities where the International Maritime Organization (IMO) recognizes the role of ports in decarbonization of shipping and has encouraged member state to adopt regulatory, technical, operation, and economic actions.

The celebration is also graced by IMO Secretary General Arsenio Dominguez together with Ms. Sonia B. Malaluan, Administrator of Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and representatives of various maritime sectors.
