Twenty-nine (29) establishments and companies participated in this year’s UbrA that opened doors of opportunities to Kasubay and Antiqueño job seekers, today, September 7, at Paghi-usa Hall.

Hon. James “Jojo” Jr. A. Ang, Representative of USWAG Ilonggo, served as Keynote Speaker where he reminded the job seekers to persevere to find a good job and work hard once they secured that job to also give back and help their family.

“Indi kamo mag alang-alang, handom kamo sang mataas, indi magkulba kay libre mangarap, so handom kamo nga sa pila ka adlaw ang inyo nga madangtan, imbes nga kamo ang employee, mangin employer man kamo…” Hon Ang added.

Prof. Emma O. Feranil, Director of UA Career and Job Placement Unit, who spearheaded the activity extended her gratefulness to the University Officials, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Managers, Local Government Unit of Sibalom headed by Mayor Gian Carlo Occeña and its PESO Manager, partner agencies, industry partners, and job seekers for taking part in this year’s UbrA.

“Whether you are looking to dive into a new field or advancing your current one, we hope (that) you will find valuable insights and opportunities. Remember to network, ask questions, and importantly, be yourself,” Prof. Feranil further stated.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, together with Dr. Catherine C. Viesca, Vice-president for Academic Affairs, together with some members of the executive committee were also present during the event.
