University of Antique’s Project HOPE (Holistic Opportunities and People’s Empowerment) funded by Department of Science and Technology (DOST) VI, continues to give hope to Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) of Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) San Jose, Antique.

The extensionists, headed by Dr. Marie Ann J. Raymaro, Leader of Project HOPE, conducted an Orientation on Packaging, Labeling and Training on Health Meal Planning (Pinggang Pinoy) at BJMP San Jose today, May 21.

DOST Resource persons, Engineer Eleazar Salvador T. Moscoso, Provincial S&T Director of Antique PSTO discussed about Packaging and Labeling Requirements and Ms. Paula C. Huelar, Expert on Food Nutrition and Research talked about Healthy Meal Planning (Pinggang Pinoy).

The activity is a continuation of the project which was launched last January 31, 2024 through Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) and aims to support PDLs through provision of trainings on livelihood opportunities even behind bars.
