The University of Antique College of Teacher Education (CTE) held its first ever Pinning and Send-off Ceremony for the 318 Student Teachers at Paghi-usa Hall today, February 19.
 
Department of Education (DepEd) Chief Education Supervisor of Curriculum and Teaching in the Division of Antique, Dr. Edward E. Baña served as speaker during the event which was also attended by parents and guardians, program heads, guests, eminent partners from different schools, and officials of DepEd both in elementary and secondary schools.
 
In his speech, Dr. Baña shared his transformative journey during his internship emphasizing that as an educator, one must continuously learn and adapt to the changes of the fragments of education and teaching under education.
 
“For the future teachers of the young generation, learn to teach and experience for the next days to come as your internship is really the best learning opportunity for teachers”, Dr. Baña added.
 
The ceremonial pinning and send-off event marked the start of the interns’ practice teaching careers, a step closer to their graduation./IU
