Faculty and Senior High students under Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) Strand all over the Province of Antique convened as the 3rd Year Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Marketing Management (BSBA-MM) students in partnership with Junior Marketers’ Society Inc. (JMSI) holds the 1st ever Advertising Adventure (AdVenture) 2024: Unleashing the Power of Marketing in Digital Age, at Paghiusa Hall, January 21.

Dr. Gugun Gumilar, Founder and Executive Director of the Institute of Democracy and Education (IDE), Indonesia, and Asst. Prof. Jason H. Reyes, Representative, DRTL Embassy, Professor of Social Science, Adamson University, served as Resource Speakers on topics regarding Social Media Advertising, Content Marketing, and Effective Advertising.

The AdVenture 2024, which is the students’ course requirement for MKTG 6 (Advertising), aims to empower diverse students in Antique through a comprehensive educational experience in digital marketing, cultivating content strategy skills, fostering collaboration, and inspiring creativity, as well as provide the ABM students a glimpse of how Marketing students in UA experience actual life activities as future Marketistas.

Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice-President for Academic Affairs, on her message stated that the AdVenture is an opportunity to advocate change and good cause, make advance preparation, and venture to inspire other people, to innovate, and venture to learn, earn, experience, and expand even beyond borders.

On the other hand, Prof. Marievic B. Adarga, MM., BSBA-MM Program Head, applauded the marketing students for their effort in producing the event. The students were in charge of the whole process from planning, budgeting, inviting participants, up to the actual program which she considers crucial for then to grasp. The instructors only served as guide in the implementation.

Prof. Adarga also left a message for the participants that “may the things that you will learn, not only from our speakers but also on how the event is being conducted, will inspire you to do the same in your school.”

Generated income in this activity will be given to Sibalom Bamboo Craft Makers Association of Brgy. Villafont, Sibalom as seed capital for the livelihood association, as part of the university’s extension project under the BSBA-MM.

Prior to the activity, the organizers together with their instructor and program head visited the secondary schools in the province and coordinated with the principals, teachers, and students, to ask for their attendance as part of this AdVenture.
