DPU holds PIA for Batch 2

The Data Protection Unit (DPU) of the University conducted a Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) for Batch 2 consisting of representatives from colleges and frontline offices, to identify and address issues and concerns regarding data privacy, at Busalian Hall, November 17.
 
The PIA is one of the mandates of the National Privacy Commission (NPC) that aims to guide the Personal Information Controllers (PICs) and Personal Information Processors (PIPs) to understand the personal data flow in the organization, identifying and assessing various privacy risks, and proposing measures to address these risks.
 
Dr. Sammy V. Militante, Director, Statistical and Knowledge Management Center, imparted knowledge on topics that includes Determination of Security Measures, Records of Processing Activities, PIA and Privacy by Design, and Privacy Risk Rating and Privacy Risk Mapping.
