UA kicks off New A.Y.; holds Sugalaw

University of Antique Main Campus kicks off another Academic Year through Sugalaw 2023, a Welcome Program for UA students, at Traditional Knowledge Center, August 31.
 
Students from Batch 1: College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), College of Business and Accountancy (CBA), College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE) and College of Maritime Studies (CMS), were welcomed through a series of activities which includes Mr and Miss Sugalaw. Student Organizations, Clubs, and different interest groups also put up booths to encourage prospective applicants.
 
Dr. Nelly E. Mistio. Vice-president for Administration and Finance, Dr. May T. Delgado Vice-president for RECETS, Deans and Directors were also present during the welcoming of students.
 
Sugalaw is a Kinaray-a term which is directly translated to meeting halfway, a form of welcoming in Antiqueño and Filipino culture./IAP
