UA holds Syllabi Review and Revision and IMs Development Workshop

To prepare for the upcoming opening of another academic year, Program Heads and Representatives per program from University of Antique system convene for Syllabi Review and Revision and Instructional Materials Development Workshop at Busalian Hall, August 15-16, 22-24.
 
The activity that aims to equip teachers with understanding of Outcomes-based Education (OBE) as paradigm for effective instruction and effective skills in designing OBE-aligned syllabus for teaching the general education, professional, and specialization courses as provided by CHED PSGs are held by the University periodically. 
 
Dr. Jelyn O. Alentajan, Vice-President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), highlighted the importance of syllabus that acts as a documentary handshake or an agreement between the teacher and students of the topics and activities that will be covered in a semester.
 
Prof. Catherine C. Viesca, Campus Director of the Main Camps, stated that “revisiting, reviewing, and revising our syllabus especially our OBE syllabus… will help our faculty and our students to be more effective learners in the course.”
 
The activity is also the academe’s way of providing teachers with the opportunity and guidance to construct OBE IM to be used for effective teaching and learning both for in-person and virtual mode of learning.
 
Present during the program are representatives from the different campuses of UA: Caluya Campus, Libertad Campus, Tario-Lim Memorial Campus, Main Campus, and Hamtic Campus./IAP
