PH-US Forces hold Balikatan Info Drive at UA

The Philippines-United States Forces hold a Balikatan Information Drive at University of Antique Pag-hiUsA Hall as part of #Balikatan23, April 24.

Balikatan is an annual bilateral exercise between Armed Forces of the Philippines and United States Armed Forces to strengthen interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation that was built overĀ  years of shared experiences.

U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Marcus D. Gillett, Comanding Officer of 9th Engineer Support Battalion, expressed his hope to continue the good relationship between the institutions for many more years.

The information drive was joined by Criminology and Industrial Security management students of College of Criminal Justice Education, Political Science and Community Development students of College of Arts and Sciences, Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) officers and student leaders of the University of Antique who were given the chance to learn about military practices and objectives.

Aside from information drive, the Balikatan in Antique also offers Humanitarian Civic Assistance Projects such as building schools and conducting basic medical classes in the community./IAP
