UA Guidance Center promotes KCL
Committed to advocating a mentally healthier community, University of Antique through UA Guidance Center promotes Kaibigan Chat Line.
Guided by its mantra of “Building a Mentally Healthier Community, One Conversation at a time,” KCL as a mental health platform caters mental health matters and concerns from students, youth, or from anyone in the society through providing free mental and psycho-social support and facilitating referrals to adolescent-friendly services.
According to Ms. Hannah Bee Sibugan, KCL Ambassador, Psychology Student of the University, and UA Peer Facilitator, KCL is accessible through its Facebook account where anyone who messages will be connected to youth responders who are equipped to provide essential psycho-social support while assuring their security and privacy.
“It is like you are chatting with a person or a friend pero di mo tana kilala (but you don’t know him/her)… So if you have problems with regards to your grades, your family, your love life, and other stuff that hinders you from functioning well especially in psychological or mental aspects, Kaibigan Chat Line is willing to cater and talk to you,” Ms. Sibugan further stated.
KCL is a Non-government Organization which was initiated by Positive Youth Development Network through Ms. Cyresse Ann Achilleos Founder and Project Officer of KCL. It is accessible through its Facebook page “Kaibigan chat line” and is operating from Monday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM./IAP
