Promoting Strength and Inclusivity: UA Sikolohistas Celebrate Psychology Day
Four years after the last Psychology Day celebration, Bachelor of Arts in Psychology students celebrate Psychology Day with the theme, “Unfolding Blooms: Coping with Life’s Adversities Beautifully,” at University of Antique Traditional Knowledge Center (Covered Court), February 20-21.
Dr. Cecilia O. Salvilla, Dean of College of Arts and Sciences relates the students to the activity’s theme saying, “…the flower that blooms in adversity is the rarest and most beautiful of all. Amo rian kamo, tumalagsahun kamo (Just like you, you are one of a kind) because you experience hardship in life, because of that you strive hard and now you are future psychologist; you are future psychometrician.”
The two-day event also aims to promote inclusivity through activities such as PSYCHrampahan and PaPSYCHlaban talent showcase, and to offer extra care for everyone’s daily challenge through booths such as NGL Message on Air, Psych Information Corner, Physical Activity, Photo Booth, Free Hugs, and Sweet & Treat.
The Psychology Day is an annual celebration of the psychology program that aims to further enhance and produce comprehensive students flourished by positivity and oneness./The Catalyst-IAP
