UA-Bari Potters project receive funding from DOLE
The Bari Potters’ Association and University of Antique (UA) receive P498, 544 during the turning over of check from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) to UA for the UA-Bari Potters’ Integrated Livelihood Project at Balay ni Juan/a, February 16.
Mr. Niño U. Grantos, Bari Potters’ Association President together with Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President received the check from Ms. Ma. Cecilia S. Acebuque, OIC Head, DOLE Antique Field Office who spearheaded the turning over of funds.
According to Dr. May T. Delgado, Vice-president for Research, Extension, and Continuing Education, and Training Services, the University will be given a chance to further extend its services to the community.
“Let us hope that through this project, we will be able to strengthen pottery as means of livelihood for people,” Dr. Delgado further stated.
The program was also graced by Hon. Gian Carlo Occeña, Mayor, Municipality of Sibalom, and Cong. AA Legarda who made the project possible through his initiative with Senate President Protempore, Loren Legarda./IAP
