
Advocating sustainable communities and taking action towards meeting the challenges of United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, student leaders, advisers, and staffers from University of Antique joined the 11th Philippines I Transform! Leadersβ Convention (PITLC) together with changemakers from across the nation, at Teacherβs Camp, Baguio City, November 15-19, 2024.
The UA Student Government (UASG) and Future Leaders of the Philippines (FLP) Officers headed by Presidents Bob Colin AretaΓ±o and Darvey Klent Jurada together with the governors of College of Teacher Education, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Industrial Technology, and College of Computer Studies, represented the academe in Kabataan Fair, On the Spot Essay Writing, Extemporaneous Speaking, Photo Advocacy, Video Making, and Solid Group Cheers where some became officers of their solid group and part of the team that won Best in Cheers and Outstanding Solid Group.
Youthlead Philippines, Inc., the main organizer of the annual event also awarded University of Antique as one of its partners in advocating Transformational Leadership.
Together with the student delegation were Dr. Runato A. BasaΓ±es, Executive Director, Student Affairs and Services Division, Mr. Mark Joseph Reyes, Future Leaders of the Philippines Adviser, and the YouthLead Philippines National Staffers namely, Prof. Wilma Fe S. Vego, Director of Student Organizations and Activities Unit, Mr. Risty Clent Aquito, Former FLP Adviser, Mr. John Santiana, Former FLP National PRO, and Former UASG Presidents Mr. Roger Canja and Mr. Ramil Gito.
