“Growth is greater when you go out of your comfort zone, flex some muscle, and learn things that you thought at first are difficult” – Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President
Five pre-service teachers from Daegu University, South Korea are back for a month-long internship in University of Antique and its partner institutions.
During the opening program today, Lee Eunseo “Dina”, Lee Jieun “Jane”, Jung Miyeong “Julie”, Lee Junseok “Leo”, and Kim Somin “Somin”, marked the start of their internship journey as they were conferred with their internship nameplates and introduced to their cooperating teachers.
Dr. Crespo on his message congratulated the interns for their bravery in taking on the challenge of completing their internship in the Philippines, sharing what they learned from Daegu University, and also taking the chance to learn from the Filipinos especially from the Antiqueños.
“It is my hope that your one month (internship) will be a life-changing experience for you, it will give you a stronger resolve, a stronger motivation to become the best teacher you could possibly be,” Dr. Crespo further stated.
This internship also continues to strengthen the ties between UA and its partner institutions as the five interns will be deployed to UA-Laboratory High School, Barley Learning Center of Antique, Inc., and Sibalom Central Elementary School.
