University of Antique held its first-ever face-to-face class with 15 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) – San Jose District who are taking up Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship under UA’s College Education Behind Bars (CEBB) program, at the Learning Hub inside the BJMP facility last October 12, 2024.

With the goal to help the PDLs in getting their college degree, experienced UA faculty are conducting classes at BJMP as part of the Holistic Opportunities and People’s Empowerment (HOPE) in BJMP San Jose under the Community Empowerment thru Science and Technology (CEST) Program.

The offering of CEBB aims to aide PDLs to overcome personal, economic, and civic deficiencies by providing a quality college education.
