Exploring more the emerging multidisciplinary role of Artificial Intelligence in science and evidence-based research, University of Antique joins the 2024 National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) Annual Scientific Conference and 21st Visayas Regional Cluster Assembly at Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, last July 23, 2024.

The assembly featured Keynote Speakers who discussed topics such as, Artificial Intelligence for Precision Agriculture, Applications of AI in Education, and Artificial Intelligence in Fisheries and Aquaculture for Enhanced Sustainability and Productivity. Business Meeting and Oath Taking of NRCP associate and regular members in the Visayas region and Visayas Regional Cluster officers also transpired during the program.

Dr. May T. Delgado, Vice-president for Research, Extension, and Innovation (REI), Dr. Susan F. Atienza, Director of the Research Unit; and Dr. Ricardo Catanghal, Dean of the College of Computer Studies represented the academe in the said event which also aims to bring together NRCP members, prominent figures in science, technology, and innovation (STI) research, including policy makers, scholars and academe, entrepreneurs, technology adopters, government officials, and public and private partners from the Visayas.
