University of Antique officially welcomed Balik Scientist Dr. Gerard Dumancas, for the Phase I of his Balik Scientist Program (BSP) engagement with the academe, last August 21, 2024 via Zoom platform.
Dr. Dumancas, who is an Associate Dean of Research and Program Innovation and Full Professor of Chemistry in North Carolina University and Associate Professor of Chemistry and the Director of NSF Noyce Program at the University of Scranton in Scranton, PA, is set to help in guiding the students and faculty alike in achieving their research and career goals with his experiences and achievements in research from funding applications to publication.
The BSP of Department of Science and Technology Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST- PCIEERD) aims to provide an avenue for the University to receive advice, opportunities, and expert participation of the Balik Scientist in the field of research, especially in chemistry, innovative technology, and other related fields.
Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., UA President, together with Mrs. Jessebel Gadot, IRC Director and CATL Laboratory Officer, and the CATL Team welcomed Dr. Dumancas who will be extending his helping hand to the academe until August 2025.
