August 8th of each year, member countries gather to celebrate the founding of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) – an intergovernmental organization that upholds cooperation and integration among its member states in Southeast Asia.

This annual celebration serves as a venue to further regional collaborations that address challenges, support economic growth and cultural understanding.

Among the ASEAN Member States are Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos: officially the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (LPDR), Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

University of Antique, with its Internationalization (IZN) programs and collaborations is continuously taking the lead in strengthening the connection among these member states which foster economic growth, resilience and unity that extend not only within the Kasubay community but also among its partner agencies and organizations.
