“A garden is a grand teacher. It teaches patience and careful watchfulness; it teaches industry and thrift; above all it teaches entire trust.” — Gertrude Jekyl

University of Antique Laboratory High School (UA LHS) kicks-off gUlAyan sa LabHigh through a Groundbreaking Activity as part of the university-wide Gulayan sa Paaralan Program of the academe, August 05, 2024.

Today’s activity is part of the Phase I or the Pre-planting Activities of the said initiative where Dr. Monalie C. Saylo, UA LHS Principal, and Mr. Michael P. Jordan, gUlAyan sa LabHIgh Coordinator, take the lead alongside the LHS Faculty and staff, Boy Scout of the Philippines Senior Scouts, students, alumni, parents and other stakeholders in preparing the site or plot where the gulayan will be situated.

The Gulayan sa Paaralan was launched by UA last June 15 to foster a culture of environmental stewardship in the whole community through mandating all colleges and offices to plant and grow their own vegetable garden.
