The British Council Philippines headed by Country Director, Ms. Lotus Postrado, graced the University of Antique for Strategic Partnership Visit on Programs on Global Initiatives and Curriculum Development as part of the organization’s university roadshow, last July 08.

UA is the third Higher Education Institution (HEI) and the first outside of Metro Manila that the organization visited to introduce the opportunities that it offers including programs, project partnership, institutional policies and systems, knowledge exchanges, research, student mobility and experience among others.

“We’re so glad we have this opportunity to talk to you about our work, provide key information about opportunities that encompass the institution, the university, and also opportunities for researchers, academics, even your leaders in the university, and students…” Ms. Postrado stated on her speech to the UA top management, executive committee, faculty, staff, and students.

The British Council has been building connections, understanding and trust between people in United Kingdom and countries worldwide for almost 5 decades and is continuously working with government and non-governmental bodies, HEIs, Business Sector, students, alumni, academics, artists, and culture workers.

Pierre Pecson, Head of Education, Andrei Nikolai Pamintuan, Head of Arts, Mike Cabigon, Exams Business Development Manager, and Janelle Almosara-Capiral, Communications Manager, were also present during the program that was made possible through the initiative of the International Affairs Unit and Mr. Nicasio A. Pimentel III, UA Psychology faculty member and alumnus of London School of Economics and Political Science.
