University of Antique is named as Top 3 best implementer of the Philippines Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) among the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the country.

Dr. Pablo S. Crespo Jr., University President alongside Dr. Raul C. Alvarez Jr., Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Regional Office VI (RO6) Director, and Ann Grazielle Arcenas of CHED RO6, personally received the award on the 2024 Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS) Innovative Awards held at the CHED Auditorium, Diliman, Quezon City.

This is the first time that UA joined the said competition which aims to recognize the academe’s practices, strategies, projects, and innovations in drug education and prevention, aligned to the Executive Order No. 66, s. 2018, which institutionalizes PADS.

Thirty-four (34) HEIs in the country, representing their regions, participated in the said event, where Ateneo de Davao University remained as Top 1, while Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology was hailed as Top 2.
